Rain in India.jpgOnset of Southwest Monsoon has led to increase in the rainfall and thundershower activities all along the West Coast. Right from Kerala up to Konkan & Goa region, moderate to heavy rain has occurred in last 24 hours. Few places have also recorded isolated heavy showers as well.

According to Skymet Weather, the cyclonic circulation prevailing in the Arabian Sea off the Coastal Karnataka continues to retain the strength and has kept the Monsoon current active over the region.

Further, these heavy rains will continue to batter the coastal areas of Western Ghats for next few days as well.

According to Skymet Weather, weather conditions remain favourable for the further advancement of Southwest Monsoon during the next 3-4 days and strike Mumbai. Initially, they will be light in nature but will pick up pace as Monsoon draws closer.

At present, the western arm of the Northern Limit of Monsoon is passing through Honavar in Karnataka. While, the eastern arm is running through Anantapur and Ongole in Andhra Pradesh.
