Monsoon rains for the last few days have been subdued across the country. However, there is some revival due to the Monsoon surge over the West Coast and marginal strengthening of the off-shore trough.
In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Mulde and Bhira in Konkan and Goa region have recorded 86 and 85 mm of rain, respectively. Thane and Ratnagiri in the same region also observed 78 mm and 37 mm of rain. Mumbai received 9 mm of rain.

Light to moderate intensity rain is likely to continue over Konkan and Goa region and Madhya Maharashtra for another 48 hours, While Vidarbha may receive some heavy rain in next 2 to 3 days.

According to the rainfall data available with Skymet, good rain was observed in all the sub-divisions of Maharashtra in June, barring Marathwada. But during July, Monsoon rains were subdued across the country therefore all the four sub-divisions of Maharashtra also became rainfall deficient during the month.
