Monsoon rain in Telangana, Hyderabad to pick up pace

June 9, 2018 4:13 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Southwest Monsoon has covered the entire state of Telangana. However, it has remained subdued over the state. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, only Ramagundam recorded very light rain to the tune of 0.3 mm. Remaining districts of the state failed to witness Monsoon rain.

But the good news is that the Monsoon rains are all set to revive. As per Skymet Weather, a low-pressure area has developed over North Bay of Bengal and a trough is also extending from east up to Telangana. Thus, we expect moderate showers at many places of Telangana, particularly and adjoining districts of Telangana would see few heavy showers.

It is anticipated that the northern districts will witness more intense showers in comparison to the southern districts. In fact, Hyderabad may also record one or two spells of rain and thundershower activities. However, we do not expect extremely heavy Monsoon rain over Hyderabad.

In wake of cloudy to overcast sky conditions and good rains, the day temperatures have fallen over Telangana including Hyderabad.  On June 7, the maximum temperature of Hyderabad was 39°C that slipped to 31.5°C on June 8.

As per weathermen, the temperatures would continue to settle in the similar range over the state of Telangana including Hyderabad. Thus, the weather conditions would be comfortable in the coming days.
