The states of Bihar and Jharkhand have been seeing light rains making an appearance over these areas. The last 24 hours also were slightly rainy for these states with light rainfall in pockets.

In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Patna saw 3.9 mm of rainfall, Gaya recorded 6 mm, Muzaffarpur saw 11 mm while recorded Daltonganj 0.6 mm of rainfall.

The low-pressure area lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha and West Bengal Coast. Along with this, the axis of Monsoon trough is passing across central parts of Jharkhand region.  As the system will be moving west northwestwards, hence, moisture will be increasing over the states of Jharkhand and Bihar.

Therefore, the southern and eastern parts of Bihar and Jharkhand are likely to see light to moderate rainfall activity. Few parts may also witness heavy spells of rains during the next 36 to 48 hours.

Due to these systems, cities like Jamshedpur, Saraikela, Ranchi, Gumla are likely to see heavy spells of rain. Northwest parts of Bihar may see dry weather only and rains will be on the backseat for these areas. Temperatures will remain on the lower side due to these rainfall activities.
