Monsoon rain in Hyderabad until August end

Hyderabad received moderate to heavy rain during last few days of July however, August was not that blessed. Scattered rain that was witnessed during first few days of August completely bid adieu to Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, leaving a trail of dry weather in the region.

Two back to back weather systems that developed over Central parts of India had pulled away all the moisture from Hyderabad and took it to Madhya Pradesh where heavy to extremely heavy rain had occurred in past few days.

Fortunately, these weather systems are weakening. Moreover, a trough has also formed that is travelling from Madhya Pradesh upto north Tamil Nadu across Telangana.

Owing to this phenomena, light rain is expected in Hyderabad and adjoining areas in next 24 hours and by August 26, rain intensity is expected to increase. Moderate to heavy rain is likely in city from August 26- August 27.

Around August 26, a low-pressure area is expected to form over west central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast. As the system moves inland it will also be instrumental in giving good monsoon rain over parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad.

Presently, Telangana is facing cumulative rainfall below than the normal by 8%. Good rainfall activity during next few days, which is expected to last until the end of this month, is likely to bring a marginal dip in this deficiency.
