Monsoon rain continues its mar over Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is the rainiest state in the country as of now. The western parts of the state are rainfall surplus by 66% whereas East Madhya Pradesh is enjoining surplus rains of 78%.

During last few days, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall has been going on over many parts of Madhya Pradesh. The reason for such rains was a depression that was persisting over the region. This depression has softened into a cyclonic circulation and has shifted over Southwest part of Madhya Pradesh.

Adding to the relentless rains, a low-pressure area which was over Jharkhand has moved over Northeast Madhya Pradesh. Therefore we expect more moderate to heavy rain over Southwest Madhya Pradesh for another 24-36 hours.

Places like Dhar, Parbhani, Jhabua, Indore and Ratlam will continue to receive good rains. However, rain intensity will decrease over central Madhya Pradesh. Places like Raisen Sagar, Bhopal and Narsimhapur will get light scattered rain. However due to the low-pressure area in Northeast Madhya Pradesh, rain is expected to again pick up pace over Satna, Sidhi, Umaria, Shahdol and Damoh.

We can say one after another weather system affecting Madhya Pradesh will give good rains over the region even with the dip in rain activity in the 24 hours. The rain intensity will increase again; the first half of July is turning out to be one of the rainiest times for the state. Check out the rainfall figures in the last 24 hour over the state:
