During last 24 hours, rain reduced in intensity significantly as major cities received very light rain in the span. Dehradunreceived just 1 mm of rainfall whileMukteshwarrecorded 17 mm.
According to media reports, at least 40 people are feared dead in the recent Monsoon mayhem in Uttarakhand. Heavy rains over the weekend triggered flash floods and landslides in Uttarakhand. Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts are the worst affected regions.
Relief operations are going on and several damaged roads have already been repaired, according to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
