There is a cyclonic circulation over Gujarat region and adjoining North Maharashtra. We expect this weather system to give light to moderate rain and thundershowers over the western parts of the state including places like Ujjain, Indore, Dhar, Ratlam, Khargone and Khandwa.
Meanwhile, scattered showers can be expected over the remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Skymet Weather is of the view that Monsoon would cover some more parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 to 48 hours. In fact, many parts of the state would also start receiving good showers by June 27.
At present, West Madhya Pradesh is rain deficient by 2%, while East Madhya Pradesh was deficit by 14%. We can expect these rains to improve the rain deficiency to a great extent. As far as agriculture is concerned, these rains are expected to be beneficial for sowing of the crops.
