For the last 24 hours, Monsoon has remained active over the southern and adjoining central parts of Madhya Pradesh. Few pockets of Madhya Pradesh have even received very heavy rainfall.
A Cyclonic Circulation which was over the southern parts of Madhya Pradesh now lies over Central and adjoining North India.
Due to this, rain is set to enhance over southern and southwestern parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Mainly light to moderate rainfall is likely over Southwest Madhya Pradesh. Scattered rainfall is a chance over West and East Madhya Pradesh except for the northern parts. Isolated heavy rainfall is also possible over a few regions. Rainfall is likely to increase in some more parts of West and Central regions.
Monsoon has already covered the central parts of the state while moving across Bhopal and Jabalpur.
Present weather conditions show the activity will enhance and cover some more parts during the next 48 hours. A Low-Pressure Area which is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal would move west-southwestwards and is likely to affect Madhya Pradesh between July 1 to 3.
During this period too heavy rain is expected over the region.
So, we expect a very good spell of rain to continue over most parts of Madhya Pradesh in the next few days. Places like Ujjain, Jabalpur, Umaria, Sidhi, Mandla, Balaghat and Betul are likely to get affected.
At present, the state is running rain deficient, but this deficiency is set to get covered in the next six to seven days.
