As per Skymet Weather, the Monsoon which was inactive for last few days has now revived. So, we can now expect steady progress during the next 48 hours. It has already entered Bihar and subsequently, we expect Monsoon to cover some more parts of Bihar and reach Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
As of June 24, the rain deficiency in Bihar stands at 35%, while East Uttar Pradesh was deficit by 67% and West Uttar Pradesh by 53%.
At present, a cyclonic circulation is marked over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh which is attracting humid winds from Bay of Bengal over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Thus, scattered rains of light to moderate intensity will commence over both these states during the next 24 hours. By June 27, we can expect several parts of Uttar Pradesh to start receiving rain and thundershowers.
The intensity of rain is likely to increase thereafter and intermittent showers are likely to continue in the coming days. In fact, dry spell is not expected to come back over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar anytime soon. On a similar note, the rain deficiency will also improve to an extent.
