Both these regions are expected to get rain due to two low pressure areas and their interaction with the monsoon trough. One of them has formed over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas of Uttar Pradesh while the other low pressure zone has arrived from the northwest Bay of Bengal and currently lies over Orissa, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal will witness widespread rain during the next two days. However rain in Orissa and Chhattisgarh will decrease from tomorrow onwards as the low pressure area will move away towards west-northwest direction. Due to this movement, rain will gradually increase over rest parts of Madhya Pradesh.
In northwest region of the country, the cyclonic circulation over Haryana now lies over Punjab and is expected to weaken during the next two days. Its interaction with the axis of monsoon trough will continue to give light to moderate rain in the region. Isolated heavy rain is possible in Punjab.
In south Peninsula, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada will have light rain due to southwesterly moist winds from the Arabian Sea. But these winds may again change their direction to blow from northwest due to which rain may reduce after 24 hours.
Along the West coast, the seasonal offshore trough lies from Maharashtra to Kerala coast. It will give light to moderate rain along the coast. Karnataka coast may have heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places.
