Sunday was a rainy affair for Mumbai throughout the day. So much so that rainfall activity had begun during the early morning hours giving the residents another reason to celebrate the last day of the weekend and giving them some respite from the upcoming Monday blues.
These weather conditions are attributed to the presence of a trough along the West Coast running from Coastal Maharashtra up to the Kerala region. Other parts of the West Coast have also witnessed a few heavy spells of rain with some cities recording three-digit rainfall as well.
