The wait forMonsoon 2017has finally come to an end forBengaluru, as the surge reached the city on June 7. With this, rain and thundershowers will continue over the state capital for the next 48 hours. During the last 24 hours also, Bengaluru has recorded light rainfall. According to Skymet Weather, due to the humid winds both from Arabian Sea as well as Bay of Bengal, a wind shear zone has formed over the Karnataka region. As a result, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely over the electronic at least for the next two days.
Thereafter, Monsoon will go subdued over Karnataka including Bengaluru but on and off rains cannot be ruled out. According to weathermen, waxing and waning of Monsoon rains is a regular feature during the season.

However, weather conditions are favourable for city to surpass its monthly average with ease. “We are expecting Monsoon surge to remain active in the month of June, resulting in good rainfall over South Peninsula.
