Monsoon 2017: Rainfall to escape Hyderabad, dry days ahead

August 11, 2017 4:47 PM | Skymet Weather Team

As predicted, Monsoon rains have taken a back seat over Hyderabad, with the city just recording traces of rains. Prior to that, the city had observed some light to moderate showers.

Now the state capital is gearing up for dry and warm weather conditions, at least for the next 3-4 days. However, isolated light rains cannot be ruled out due to the presence of Monsoon surge over the region.

These weather conditions can be attributed to the absence of any significant weather system over the region. Though a trough is seen extending from Rayalaseema to Comorin area across Interior Tamil Nadu, it will not have any impact over Telangana.

According to weathermen, rains are likely to increase over Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana around August 16. It will be a prolonged spell that will continue till August 20-21. During that period, the city is likely to witness moderate rains.
