Monsoon 2017: Bengaluru, Karnataka to see more rains

August has been a disappointing month for the city of Bengaluru in terms of Monsoon rains. In fact, the city has only been able to traces of rain since the first day. In fact, there have been days when Bengaluru has remained dry as well.

As far as the temperatures are concerned, the city has been witnessing above normal temperatures as good showers have remained on the backseat.

Presently, the maximum temperature has been settling at 31.3 degrees which happens to be three notches above the normal levels.

The last 24 hours were also not too rainy for the city and Bengaluru could only record a mere 1 mm of rain. However, other parts of Karnataka did witness good rains including Chintamani 21 mm, Mandya 7 mm, and Chamarajnagar 17 mm.

These showers have been attributed to the presence of a trough which is running across the Interior parts of Karnataka.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light showers are expected over the city of Bengaluru with isolated moderate showers. However, some parts of Karnataka may witness a few moderate spells of rains as well.

Due to these rains over the regions, temperatures are also expected to witness a drop and may come to normal. Nights will also become pleasant over almost the entire state.
