As usual, ahead of monsoon arrival, pre monsoon weather activity speeds up over the extreme southern sub divisions. Kerala, Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka are the favorites for sensitive weather activity. Moderate showers an many places and heavy at few are likely over these parts for the next 3 days. Interior parts of Tamil Nadu bordering Kerala are more vulnerable than the coastal ones.
Cyclonic circulation is marked over Telangana and neighborhood in the lower levels of atmosphere. North-South trough is extending from this feature to the southern tip. This is expected to oscillate as well accentuating weather conditions over the region. Weather activity has mostly remained minimal over the last couple of days.
Spread and intensity will be more for Kerala on first 2 days, 29th and 30th May. South Interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Hassan have the risk of very heavy showers on 31stMay. In Tamil Nadu, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Erode, Coimbatore, Tirupur and Udagamandalam are likely to observe moderate to heavy rains on 31st May.
