During the last 24 hours, the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh have received light to moderate rainfall at many places while southern parts of the state experienced light to heavy rains with exceptionally very heavy at a few places.
At present, the depression lies over southwestern parts of Madhya Pradesh. This system is expected to further move in North-Northwest direction and weaken into a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area during the next 24 hours.
Due to the presence of this system over the state, western parts of Madhya Pradesh are likely to experience moderate to heavy rains during the upcoming 24 to 48 hours. Thereafter rain is expected to decrease. However, the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh will experience dry weather conditions but due to incursion of moisture from Bay of Bengal, light rainfall activities are expected over scattered places.
In wake of the above system a slight rise in day temperatures is also expected during the upcoming 24 hours over the entire state.
Apart from these weather systems, Madhya Pradesh however is still deficient by 10% in terms of cumulative rainfall figure. It will be interesting to note if what upcoming rains have in store for rain deficient data of the state.
