The coastal areas of the state of Gujarat did record some isolated spells of heavy rain wherein Okha recorded 44 mm of rain in 21 hours time. Vadodara recorded 16 mm of rain while moderate showers also lashed the city of Ahmedabad where 12 mm of rainfall was witnessed.
These rainfall activities were in view of the peripherals of Cyclone Hikka which has moved far away from the Indian mainland.
Now, as per weathermen, Gujarat region along with southern parts of the state will see some good showers. These showers will be seen as a Cyclonic Circulation will form over Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining southern parts of Gujarat by tomorrow.
Thus, rains will increase over the state of Gujarat by tomorrow. In fact, on September 27 and 28, moderate to heavy rains will be seen over Gujarat and Kutch region while Dwarka, Porbandar and adjoining areas will see lesser rains.
Moreover, rains will be heavier over the Kutch region between September 28 and 30, as the Cyclonic Circulation will move slightly northward resulting in more showers over the region.
Thus, it is safe to say that rainy spell will continue over Gujarat until the end of this month as Monsoon will reactivate over the state for one last time.
