Seems like the weather systems are all set to give rains over parts of Gujarat and Vidarbha. Presently, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northeast Madhya Pradesh which is likely to shift further westward and is extending up to 7.6 km above sea level. Also, this system is tilting southwestwards with height.
Yet another Cyclonic Circulation is over the Northeast Arabian Sea and a small trough is extending from this system up till the Gujarat coast. The experts have to say that rainfall activity might increase marginally over the eastern parts of Gujarat during the next 24 hours.
Places like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Dahod, Panchmahal, Chotta Udaipur, Aravali, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Vadodara, and Narmada are likely to be affected by these rains.
Whereas Gondia, Nagpur, Akola, and Amravati in Vidarbha are likely to see moderate rains.
As per the records, in the past 24 hours as well, parts of Vidarbha have also recorded light to moderate rain activities wherein significant rains of 36 mm were recorded in Brahmapuri.
