During the last 24 hours, many parts of Mumbai and suburbs continued with moderate to intense rain activities. In the last 24 hours, Santacruz recorded 18 mm and Colaba recorded 23 mm of rain. Thane and adjoining areas witnessed intense showers. This on and off rain activities will continue until August 1st.
Rain activities to increase significantly over Mumbai and suburbs from August 2nd. Moderate to heavy rains are expected to continue until August 6th over Mumbai and suburbs as well as over most parts of Konkan and Goa.
Between August 2nd and 6th, Mumbai and suburbs may also receive heavy to very heavy rains. Flash floods and waterlogging cannot be ruled out in low lying Mumbai and suburbs during that time.
