Minimums to witness a drop in plains of North India

For the past few days, most areas of the plains of North India have been witnessing comfortable days. Maximums in the region are being recorded between 27 and 29 degree Celsius. On the other hand, Punjab and Haryana have already been witnessing cold nights as minimums are ranging between 13 and 15 degree Celsius.

Now, the region is likely to witness a further drop in its minimums in another two to three days. Winds will change their direction and northerly components will be more prominent. November 17 onwards, dry and cold winds with moderate speed will blow over most parts of the plains of North India.

Many areas of Punjab and Haryana will experience much colder nights as minimums will register a drop of around 2 to 3 degrees. Thus, the night temperatures may come down to around 10 to 13 degree Celsius. Places including Gurdaspur, and Hoshiarpur in Punjab along with Hisar, Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Yamunanagar will see temperatures dropping in single digits.

In the next 4 to 5 days, temperatures will witness a further drop. Delhi, which is recording the minimum temperature at around 16 degree Celsius will also see a drop in temperatures. The night temperature in the national capital may witness night temperature reaching to 13 degree Celsius.
