All the northwestern states of the country including the capital city of India Delhi and its NCR region have been witnessing dry weather conditions with cold nights. In fact, at present, northerly/northeasterly winds are prevailing over most of these parts.

During the last 24 hours, morning temperatures dropped over some places mainly by one to two Degrees Celsius. Delhi also observed drop in night temperatures and mist prevailed during the morning hours.

However, as there is no significant weather system over and around the northwestern plains of the country, dry weather is likely to continue, and mornings will continue to remain cold.

Delhi may witness minimums around 6˚C with mist and shallow fog. Moreover, mainly moderate northerly/northeasterly winds will continue to prevail over all the regions in Northwest India.

Sky will also remain mainly clear with few high clouds. Isolated moderate fog may be observed over North Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh.

Due to the southerly light winds during morning hours, the pollution levels have shown a rise and very poor conditions prevailed but as the speed is likely to strengthen tomorrow, we expect mainly moderate pollution conditions.
