So, it is certain that the minimum temperatures have witnessed a drop of about 3 to 4 degrees today morning.

This fluctuating trend in the mercury could be attributed to the weather system which has resulted in snowfall over the North Indian Hills and had also given good rains over the northwestern plains. Now, the weather system has moved away eastwards.

Due to this, cold and dry northerly-northwesterly winds have commenced over the plains, pushing the chiller air mass over Gujarat region that resulted drop in minimum temperatures. Consequently, minimums would remain below the normal by 3 to 4 degrees over Gujarat during the next 48 hours as well. Moreover, one or two stations may even witness minimum temperatures in single digits as well.

For now, the days will be again become fairly warm with good amount of sunshine. Nights would be pleasant due to low minimums over the region.
