Moving onto the night temperatures, a marginal increase has been reported, yet it is still settling below the normal over Vidarbha, Marathwada and South Madhya Maharashtra.
Cities such as Gondia, Jalgaon, Nagpur, Parbhani and Vengurla have been recording minimum temperatures below the normal level.
As per Skymet Weather, due to the strengthening of an easterly wave, moist and humid winds from Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean will affect the state of Maharashtra. This will eventually lead to marginal rise in maximum temperatures, while significant surge in minimums during the next 48 to 60 hours.
In addition, these light winds will increase the humidity levels, resulting in discomfort over the region for the next two to three days. However, there are likelihoods of light rain and thundershowers over southern parts of South Madhya Maharashtra around February 6 and 7. The sky condition is expected to remain partly cloudy to cloudy around February 5 to 8. Thereafter, we expect the temperatures to recede marginally over many parts of the state.
