Minimum temperatures have been witnessing a drop over many parts of North India particularly Punjab, Haryana as well as Delhi and the NCR region. Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the belt of minimum temperatures will gradually shift from extreme north to mostly parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Currently, a very feeble Western Disturbance is over the Western Himalayan region and the system is expected to cause an effect over the hills and the foothills of North India. This system will cause a change in the wind pattern, and they may shift the anti Cyclone a little south of its normal position.
Thus, cities including Sikar, Chhindwara, Pachmarhi, Boondi and adjoining areas in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan will be seeing slightly lower minimums for the next two days, i.e. until the Western Disturbance is affecting the hills. During this time, minimums over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi NCR may be slightly above the normal levels.
However, this situation will only prevail for the next couple days and right after the passage of this system, wind pattern will once again see a change and dry northwesterly winds will blow over northern parts resulting in a drop of minimums.
