The regions of South Interior Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Kerala are expected to see very little rains in the coming days. There may be some parts seeing a few rain activities, other than that, rainfall will remain mild only.
The reason for these activities is that there is no system in proximity of the region. Not only this, no active system is also over the West Coast which may result in some increase in rains over Kerala or adjoining areas of Tamil Nadu. East Coast is also devoid of any weather system, resulting in below normal rains over South India in the coming few days.
The system that is coming up in the Bay of Bengal around September 18 is well to the head Bay of Bengal and move further to the plains of Gangetic West Bengal, quite north from southern parts of the country, thus, nothing significant will be seen.
