Delhi rains had made an appearance over the national capital on January 23. Before this, the city was reeling under a dry spell of 42 days. The rains were short lived and after January 23, rainfall activity once again took a backseat over the national capital.

Since then, the weather over Delhi and its adjoining regions of Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram and Ghaziabad have remained dry. As far as foggy conditions are concerned, the city has been witnessing dense to very dense fog during the morning hours for the last two days. Even today morning, the residents of the national capital woke up to a very foggy morning.

However, now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, foggy conditions are set to take a backseat after 24 hours.

A sub-tropical jet stream is likely to affect the Northwest Plains including Delhi along with Indo Gangetic Plains. Due to strong winds, this density of thick fog layer will reduce. However, moderate to dense fog with a cold morning is expected to continue for the next 24 hours.

Thereafter, fog will abate the region and residents will only see shallow fog in some parts. As far as temperatures are concerned, marginal rise in day and night temperatures is expected tomorrow onward.

Day maximum will settle around 22-23 degrees while minimums will hover around 7-8 degrees. Further rise in these temperatures is expected.
