The state of Telangana and the interior parts of Andhra Pradesh have been reeling under very hot and dry weather conditions. So much so that maximum temperatures have been settling well above the normal levels. Not only this, there have been places where maximum temperature has settled close to the 40-degree mark as well.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature at Kurnool settled at 40.6 degrees Celsius, Anantapur 39.8 degrees, Hyderabad 38.9 degrees, Adilabad 39.1 degrees, and Bhadrachalam 40 degrees.
Currently, northwesterly air mass has been prevailing over Telangana as well as Rayalaseema. These winds are warm and dry in nature, due to which weather is expected to remain very warm over both the aforementioned regions.
The day temperatures are expected to witness a marginal rise over Telangana as well as Rayalaseema region. Sky conditions are expected to remain clear over the region which will further result in the maximums increasing.
Thus, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, maximum temperatures over these areas may settle between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius. Cities including Khammam, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool, Anantapur, Medak, Adilabad and Nizamabad may witness an increase. Residents of these regions should gear up for very hot weather in the coming days.
