Day temperatures on a rise in Tamil Nadu

May 21, 2015 4:35 PM | Skymet Weather Team

After witnessing pleasant weather during last week, maximum temperatures have now increased across Tamil Nadu. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, pre-Monsoon activity has reduced significantly over the state, which has pushed the mercury by eight to ten degrees.

Light rain activity is only confined to interior parts of Tamil Nadu bordering Kerala, as moist westerly winds from Arabian Sea are causing rain over parts of neighbouring states of Karnataka and Kerala.

At present, maximum temperature are settling above normal, raising discomfort levels for people, especially during afternoon hours.

According to the latest forecast by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, no significant weather activity is expected in next three to four days as well.

However, as the Southwest Monsoon advances towards Kerala, the state will once again witness rainy spell during the last few days of May.

Let us have a look at the variations between the maximum temperatures within five days.
