The state of Gujarat is now heating up with maximum temperatures settling above 37 degrees. So much so that yesterday, the city of Ahmedabad is heating up at 37.8 degrees, Vadodara 37.4 degrees, Deesa 36.7 degrees, Gandhinagar 36.6 degrees, Kandla 36 degrees and Junagad 36.6 degrees,
However, this soaring mercury is not an unusual event and Gujarat starts heating up in the month of March itself. Moreover, very soon, some parts may touch 40 dgerees as well.
As per weathermen, due to a confluence zone formation, very light rain is expected on March 8 and 9 in cities including Godhra, Chhota Udaipur, Narmada, Anand, Valsad, Navsari, Tapi, Vapi, Bhavnagar, Junagad and adjoining areas. However, these rains will be very light and isolated in nature and will not result in any relief from increasing maximums.
