Mercury soars across Gujarat and Maharashtra

At a time when rest of India is witnessing weather activity, Maharashtra and Gujarat are reeling under hot weather conditions. In the absence of any significant weather, maximum temperatures in both the states are settling above normal by two to four degrees, making days uncomfortable for people.

Gujarat has been witnessing rising temperature for the last few days. And Maharashtra is now catching up with Gujarat after enjoying some good weather on account of rain and thundershowers.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, dry northwesterly winds from Pakistan are blowing over Gujarat extending up to Maharashtra, which is pushing up the mercury in the region.

As per the latest forecast by Skymet, no respite is expected from the scorching heat for at least a couple of days.
