Plains of North India across Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan have dipped to single-digit minimum temperature at few places. Such a pattern is quite normal at this time of the year. However, meteorological conditions are not favouring any further noticeable changes over the next week or so. Only, the seasonal variations are expected and the average temperatures of the region are likely to sustain, for the remaining days of November.

Sikar, in Rajasthan, seems to be the lowest in the plains for the second consecutive day. Yesterday, it recorded the minimum of 9.5°C which lowered further to 7.6°C today. Hisar in Haryana and Ferozepur in Punjab measured respective lowest of 8.9°C and 9.6°C, respectively. Some other locations like Churu (9.2°C), Bhatinda (10°C), Pathankot (10.7°C) and Sirsa, and Amritsar clocked 10.8°C. Una, in the foothills, observed the lowest of 7.6°C.

Dry weather conditions are likely to prevail over Punjab and Haryana, albeit with some clouds on a few days, in the remaining days of November. Rajasthan is also expected to have similar conditions with some exceptions of rain and drizzle in the southern and southeastern parts of the state on the 25th and 26th of November. These rains will be an extension of unseasonal rains over Gujarat, under the influence of a cyclonic circulation during this period. However, the temperature profile will remain unaltered despite the sheet of clouds and sprinkles. Plains of Punjab and Haryana may also witness cloudy weather around the weekend, but unlikely to record any rainfall.
