Subsequently, torrid weather has been ruling Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. Due to this, day temperatures continue to settle near the normal range, while the minimums remain around the 30-degree mark.

As per weather forecaster at Skymet Weather, the persisting weather conditions could be attributed to the continuous flow of northwesterly winds, which are dry and hot in nature.

Furthermore, we do not foresee any significant weather event over Delhi and its neighborhood during the upcoming 4 to 5 days. Moreover, the maximum temperatures are expected to rise further in the coming 2 to 3 days, hitting 42-43 degrees Celsius. Thus, heatwave like conditions can be expected over Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Noida.

As the winds are expected to remain northwesterlies, hence, the humidity levels will not increase. Therefore, the residents will battle hot weather but humid conditions will remain at bay. In fact, we do not expect any change in the wind pattern for the next 4 to 5 days.

Discomfort arises when humidity intensifies, which is the result of change in wind direction, easterlies and south easterlies. This is not likely to happen anytime soon.
