On Saturday, Delhi-NCR saw maximum temperatures dropping for the first time in last 10 days. In fact, day maximums settled below normal by two degrees, but high levels of humidity did not let the relief set in.
The Palam Observatory recorded maximum temperature at 39.4°C, while Safdarjung Observatory saw maximum at 38.3°C. This drop in maximums could be attributed to the dust storm on Friday.

The mercury is likely to settle on the lower side on Sunday as well. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 39°C or 40°C.
According to Skymet Weather, an east-west trough is running close to Delhi-NCR, which has been infusing moisture over the region. With mercury peaking during the afternoon hours, there are possibilities of dust storm or thunderstorm during the later half of the day.
Not only this, these are possibilities of pre-Monsoon activities during the next 24 hours as well. These activities would not let the temperature rise much.
Delhi has been reeling under the severe heatwave conditions since last few days, as mercury surpassed above 45°C for consecutive days. However, some relief is in offing in the coming days but high humidity levels would keep the weather uncomfortable.
