Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh observe three-figure rain

As Monsoon was vigorous over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and parts of the Northeastern states including Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, therefore, exceptionally heavy rainfall has been observed over these areas.

Heavy rainfall is likely to continue over the aforesaid areas for another 24 hours. Thereafter, rain intensity will decrease significantly.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, three digit rainfall was observed over the following parts of the country:

Isolated heavy rains have been observed over West Uttar Pradesh particularly over Bareilly. Rain is likely to increase over many parts of Uttar Pradesh including northwest Uttar Pradesh. More rains are expected over districts like Bareilly, Bahraich and Pilibhit.

A Western Disturbance is over Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining areas. Due to which, moderate rains at many places and heavy at one or two places have occurred over northwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining hilly areas.
