The city of Pune has remained dry for quite some time now. The Maharashtra city has not only been reeling under dry weather conditions, but, it is also observing above normal maximums. While these temperatures have been marginally above normal, they have been making the residents crave for some rain activity.

The last time the city of Pune witnessed any rainfall activity was on May 13. Then too, a mere 2 mm of rainfall. At present, the maximum temperature is settling at a whopping 39.1 degrees which happens to be three notches above the normal levels.

While the residents might be praying for some rains during the weekend at least, it seems like rain gods aren’t listening at all. As per weathermen, Pune is expected to witness dry and hot weather conditions only during the next few days as well.

Both maximum and minimum temperatures will remain marginally above the normal levels. However, the possibility of isolated thunderstorm activity cannot be ruled out over the city.

Some Pre-Monsoon activity is expected to appear on May 31 which means that the month is likely to end on a rainy note over Pune. Not only this, Pre-Monsoon activity will pick up pace during the first week of June and good rains will make an appearance just a few days before Monsoon arrives over the city.
