Maximums to incline, minimums to decline over Northwest India

As of now, the seasonal wind pattern is being prevalent over the northwestern plains of the country that includes Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. In addition to this, the active Western Disturbance has been pushing the cold winds from the snow clad mountains to hover across the region.

Yesterday, severe cold wave conditions were witnessed at isolated places of Punjab, while cold wave conditions at isolated places over Haryana and North Rajasthan.

Rajasthan, Punjab, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh too observed cold day conditions at isolated pockets. The national capital also saw cold conditions.

As a result, cold breeze is lingering over the region. The weathermen do not forecast any major weather system in the coming two to three days to affect the weather over northwestern plains of the country.

Therefore, the sky conditions will remain clear, paving way for bright sunshine. In the wake of this, day maximums will ascend, while night temperatures are anticipated to descend during the next 36 to 48 hours.

Besides this, during the late night and early morning hours, shallow to moderate fog can be seen over the northwestern plains that will disperse once the sun shows up, day temperatures escalate and speed of winds increases.
