Heatwave conditions have made a comeback over many parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, few parts of Odisha, some areas of Vidarbha, South Uttar Pradesh along with isolated pockets of Delhi-NCR, and Haryana.
These weather conditions are attributed to the absence of any weather activity over the region. Before, rainfall, back to back weather systems were giving some dust storm and thunderstorm activity with isolated rains over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan.

Southeasterly winds which were increasing moisture which were increasing the weather activity have changed course. Now these winds are blowing from the westerly southwesterly direction.
As these winds are hot and dry in nature, moisture has decreased and temperatures have increased significantly over these areas. These winds are travelling from South Pakistan and West Rajasthan, which are desert areas. Temperatures are already high over these areas.
As far as maximum temperatures are concerned, Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan settled at 45°C, Churu 45.5°C, Bundi 45.5°C, Gwalior 45.5°C, Nowgong 46.2°C, Khajuraho 46.5°C, Damoh 45.8°C, Delhi 44.7°C, Bilaspur 45.5°C and Bramhapuri 46.2°C.
Thus, in the form of westerly winds the heat has been transmitted from those areas to the Northwest Plains and some parts of Central India.
Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, a Western Disturbance will approach the Western Himalayas. The system will induce a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Haryana and Punjab, Rajasthan.
Thus, scattered dust storm activities are likely over parts of Haryana, North Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR after two days. Due to this, temperatures will witness a drop by 2 to 4 degree Celsius. Central India may also see some relief due to the weather activity over Northwest India. While hot weather conditions will continue, severe heatwave will abate from these states.
