Being a coastal city, Mumbai and cool weather is a combination which is very unlikely to see. And that is exactly what is happening nowadays over the region. At present the Maximum City is witnessing hot weather conditions, in fact throughout the month of February, the city has witnessed uneasy and hot weather conditions.

Yesterday, Mumbai’s mercury soared at 38.6°C which is 6 degrees above normal. Such high levels of temperatures over Mumbai are due the northeasterly winds from Gujarat. These winds are already hot and dry in nature which made the mercury of Gujarat soar high. Normal maximum temperature for Mumbai is 32°C for the month of February. The all-time high temperature for the city of Mumbai was recorded on February 25, 1966, when the day maximums reached 39.6°C.

But according to Skymet Weather, temperatures are expected to fall in next 2-3 days. But this fall in temperatures is unlikely to bring in any relief over the city. The fall is expected to be around 2-3 degrees Celsius. Which is why in spite of fall in temperatures, warm and sultry weather will continue over Mumbai.

But Mumbaikars can have a sigh of relief around March 7-8. Around that time temperatures are expected to fall further.
