The North Indian Plains have seen lowest minimums of season today, Delhi saw the minimum slip to 6.4 degrees today with the lowest earlier being 7.3 degrees on Nov 29. Churu saw 2.5 degrees against 3.5 degrees recorded on Dec 7, Sikar saw 4.5 against 5 degrees of 8 december.

Minimum in Hisar dropped down to 5.5 degrees against 6.1 degrees recorded on Nov 25. Other parts also recorded their lowest minimums including Karnal 6.2 degrees, Ludhiana 6.4 degrees, Patiala 6.6 degrees and Bareilly 6.3 degrees.

All these places had seen high minimums even in the month of December. We can see a marginal drop even further due to the absence of any weather system over the hills is leading to cold winds blowing down the hills over the plains. Clear sky conditions leading to escaping of radiation, due to which temperatures are reducing.
