Why is Maharashtra heating up?

The absence of any weather activity over Maharashtra and adjoining area of Telangana, South Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan is one of the major reasons for this severe heat wave like conditions. Cloudless sky is also giving rise to boiling summer like conditions in Maharashtra.

According to Skymet Weather, Pre-Monsoon showers that are expected to begin in the latter half of April will probably bring marginal drop in temperature and temporary relief from the scorching summer. However, this relief will be short-lived until any major weather system comes closer to Maharashtra.
