The state of Maharashtra has been seeing above normal temperatures. More so over Vidarbha region where maximum is higher than the other regions. Talking about Vidarbha, Wardha, Washim, Yavatmal, Nagpur, Brahmpuri are seeing maximums above 37 degrees. All these maximums are at least 5 to 6 degrees above normal.
Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra are also seeing maximums 3 to 4 degrees above normal in cities including Sangli, Satara, Buldhana, Aurangabad, Pune, Nashik. Though in the next few days, we do not expect any appreciable rise or any drop, and possibly status quo will remain.
However, maximums will remain above normal by similar margins for the next 4 to 5 days. Tomorrow, a Western Disturbance is expected to approach the Western Himalayan region, which will shift the anti cyclone to the south.
Due to this, temperatures may be seen increasing over the northern plains but Maharashtra will continue to retain the current temperatures, which are already running on the higher side.
