The mother nature has finally given ears to the prayers of the residents of Maharashtra who have been battling dry weather for long time.

Since last 2-3 days, scattered rains are going on over the entire state for long time. Particularly, Madhya Maharashtra and parts of Vidarbha are experiencing good spells of rains.

Vidarbha remained the most dried region amongst all but since last two days, light spells have been experienced over the region.

On the other hand, Marathwada and Konkan & Goa witnessed isolated rains thereby giving a good reason to people for celebrating beauty of nature.

Talking about the figures, during the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Jalna  recorded 19 mm of rainfall, followed by 5 mm over Solapur, 2 mm over Chhindwara and 1 mm over Ratnagiri, Pune and Satara.

Earlier, a trough was extending from North Madhya Maharashtra to Coastal Karnataka which resulted in rains over Madhya Maharashtra. Now, a Cyclonic Circulation has formed over the region which will continue to give rains for another 24 hours over Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Konkan & Goa.

In the coming days, isolated light to very light rains or thundery activities may occur over Marathwada and people need not worry  about aridness that has been disturbing them since so long.

Talking about the temperatures, day and night temperatures of Vidarbha and Marathwada dropped by 2°C-3°C. However, minimums are still significantly above normal over many parts of the state. After 48 hours, minimums are expected to drop across the state. Rains will also stop gradually, and sky will once again become clear.
