Mumbai Rains have not shown the usual trend this year. Every time, rains take a complete backseat after mid-October and very light showers are seen if any.

However, this time, the month of November also saw some heavy rains wherein the Santa Cruz observatory recorded 46 mm of rainfall on the first day of November, due to Cyclone Maha, which was in proximity of the city.

Now, it seems like Mumbai rains will give the residents another spell of rains. Today, there are chances that light rains may be seen in the city of Mumbai.

Cyclone Maha, which has weakened into a Deep depression and is expected to further reduce into a Depression, is at a safe distance from the city of Mumbai. However, even as a weaker system, its peripherals are expected to give some rains over the City of Dreams today.

Day is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy as well. There are bleak chances that very light rains may be seen in the city during the early morning hours.

Talking about November rains in Mumbai, the average rains for Mumbai is 9.9 mm, but the city has already recorded 46 mm, which is more than four times the rain, making it the rainiest November since 2010, wherein Mumbai had seen 47.2 mm of rainfall. Light rains are likely which may result in the 2010 record being broken.
