Dense to very dense fog occurred over parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana as well as west and central Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog is expected to prevail in Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh between February 15 and 16.
Light rain activities are expected in many different parts of the country. As per the meteorologists at Skymet, there is a possibility of weather deterioration once again due to another western disturbance, which brings out a possibility of snowfall in the higher reaches of North India between 14 and 16 February.
Scattered rain activity associated with hail are expected on 16 and 17 February in the southern part of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, southern and central parts of Maharashtra and Marathwada.
Between 14 to 16 February many areas of Uttarakhand are expected to receive rain and snowfall, including Chamoli, Joshimath and Tapovan, where the glacier burst tragedy took place and rescue operations are still underway.
There is also a possibility of rain on February 15 in Haryana. Day time temperatures in Haryana are expected to be near normal in the last days of February, nights will be colder.
