In Madhya Pradesh, during the last 24 hours, light to moderate rains occurred over most places with isolated heavy showers.
In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Hoshangabad recorded 20 mm of rain, followed by Raisen 18 mm, Rewa 10 mm, Betul 7.2 mm, Shajapur 10 mm, Satna 4 mm, Guna and Indore 3 mm and Gwalior 1 mm.
At present, the depression which was over Madhya Pradesh region has moved west/northwestwards and weakened into a low-pressure. Now the low-pressure area lies over western parts of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining region. in fact, the axis of Monsoon trough is currently passing across central parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Due to these systems warm and moist winds are affecting over most parts of the state. Hence, moderate rainfall activity is likely to continue over most parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Southern parts of Madhya Pradesh will receive heavy rainfall activity in few parts. Places such as Betul, Hoshangabad, Kesla, Chhindwara and Shajapur are likely to receive heavy rains.
Talking about the temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, the day temperatures are settling in the lower-30’s and minimum temperatures in the lower-20’s.
