The way Central India has been receiving heavy Monsoon rains in past few months, it was evident that the region would have been rainfall surplus. At present the region is 4% rainfall surplus and is the best performing region in the country.
The state Madhya Pradesh has received excess rainfall all throughout the Monsoon season. In the month of August, many districts of Madhya Pradesh were affected by floods due to incessant rains. The reason for these good rains over Madhya Pradesh was successive weather systems originating in Bay of Bengal and travelling towards west halting and dissipating over Madhya Pradesh.
Now in the recent past rainfall over Madhya Pradesh has decreased significantly due to the low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas. This weather system has made sure that the moderate to heavy rains are only confined to East India.
But occasional scattered light rain can be observed over Madhya Pradesh and we expect rain intensity to increase marginally over East Madhya Pradesh in next 24 hours as the low pressure area is expected to move in west direction.
Now if we look at the temperatures over the state, the minimum temperatures of most parts of Madhya Pradesh are in lower 20°C, mostly between 19°C to 22°C, leading to pleasant weather conditions. Whereas maximum temperatures are in lower 30°C to mid-30°C.
During next few days in Madhya Pradesh, days will be warm while nights will be pleasant and cooler.
