In the last couple of days, Monsoon has been relentless over Madhya Pradesh. With such nonstop rains, flood in the region were inevitable. As many as 15 people have been found dead due to such mar of Monsoon rains in Madhya Pradesh.
Indian Army again proving its mettle by shifting 400 odd people from the flood-hit Satna region to safer grounds of Raghuraj Nagar tehsil of Satna district. "Eight people have died due to flood and excessive rainfall in the last three-four days in the state," said Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
In Hoshangabad, the river Narmada has crossed its danger mark and people in the region have been shifted to a makeshift rescue camps.
"Any one in distress can dial 1079 for help," added the Chief Minister of the state.
He also added, "Food packets have been sent to Bhopal to deal with any untoward incident. The National Defense Relief Force is also present there to help those in need. In these circumstances we are trying to provide the best possible relief. The rescue measures are in place so that people may not suffer.”

Torrential Monsoon rains have refused to take a break, as they continue to batter flood ravaged districts of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal has already received record breaking 175 mm of rain in last 24 hours, while Hoshangabad recorded 249.4 mm.
Moreover, most of the districts, particularly in West Madhya Pradesh, have been continuously recording heavy showers since Saturday morning.
Several villages have been cut off due to inundates streets and highways. Army personnel have been deployed across the state for relief operations.
Reportedly, eight people have been dead so far and around 4000 people have been shifted to the relief camps. State government has already closed the schools in the the state and advised people to stay indoor.
These rains can be attributed to the westward movement of low pressure area over Madhya Pradesh, which had earlier battered East Madhya Pradesh.
According to Skymet Weather, situation will continue to be grim as heavy to very heavy showers are likely to lash West Madhya Pradesh that includes Betul, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Devas, Ujjain, Guna, Ratlam and Indore districts.
Few parts of the East Madhya Pradesh may also receive isolated heavy rains.
