Monsoon 2016 has been extremely affectionate with Central India. Entire belt has been the most rain-laden part across India, during this Monsoon. The state of Madhya Pradesh is the rainiest region of the country so far. East Madhya Pradesh is 33% rainfall surplus whereas West Madhya Pradesh is at a whopping 41% rainfall surplus.
There are multiple weather systems that are affecting the Central India. At present, the cyclonic circulation over North Madhya Pradesh has moved and presently seen over East Rajasthan extending up to 3.1 kms. The axis of Monsoon trough is passing through north Madhya Pradesh. And the trough line is likely to extend across Madhya Pradesh.
Along with these weather systems, a fresh weather system as a low pressure area is likely to form over South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coastal region in next couple of days.
In the last 24 hours, the state has received light rain at many places and moderate rainfall at one or two places. A little decrease in the rainfall activity can be seen in the next 24 hours. But the intensity of these rains will pick up pace and will convert into good rains for next couple of days.
In last 24 hours, Jabalpur recorded 35 mm of rains whereas all the other stations across Madhya Pradesh recorded very light rain.
