Lucknow and Gorakhpur continue to witness foggy morning, Delhi remains fog free

December is just nearing its end and still much of the north Indian states have been spared from experiencing the much-awaited winter chills. Almost entire North India has been relieved from foggy mornings and have been witnessing fog-free dawns from quite a few days now.

Dense fog has been sparing many parts of the north Indian states including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and adjoining areas. Though all the other regions have been observing clear skies with no fog at all, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Patna and Agartala in Northeast region of the country still reported a low visibility.

The visibility of Gorakhpur was reported nil while Lucknow witnessed 100 meters visibility. Patna and Agartala also observed a low visibility which measured at around 200 meters and 800 meters respectively.

It means that fog has just enveloped regions of East India including Patna, East Uttar Pradesh, and northeast region.

As per Skymet Weather, now also, almost the entire north India along with the national capital and its surrounding states are expected to witness fog-free mornings. However, winds are stronger in the foothills than in the plains and level of humidity is also high. In the wake of this, shallow fog, haze or mist are a possibility over Lucknow and foothills of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Due to the absence of fog, travel disruption of any kinds was also not reported. No flights were rescheduled or canceled. Click here to check the flight status. Similarly, any kinds of train delays due to fog is also not reported. Check the train status.

Similar weather is expected to continue over the northern region for another two to three days.
